The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is set up in colleges and universities after accreditation to maintain and improve the quality of education. As per the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), every accredited higher education institution must establish an IQAC. The main role of the IQAC is to make sure that quality is improved and maintained in the institution. It checks whether the methods used for providing good education are effective and whether the planned tasks are completed properly. Since improving quality is a continuous process, the IQAC becomes a permanent part of the institution. It works regularly to achieve the goals of quality improvement and quality maintenance in education.
